Crook Herd is a bold display face with the feel of a hand-painted farm sign. Its curves swing like a shepherd's crook, and the spirals in the letters recall dogs circling a flock in the paddock. The mood is friendly but purposeful, with a little sunlit mysticism on top.
The letters are heavy and round, so the font holds up at poster size and on signboards. Use it for a farm shop logo, a cheese or wool label, a market banner or a festival title. Keep it large. Body copy and small interface text belong to a quiet companion font, and a plain serif or grotesque pairs well.
