Desert Mirage starts from a tall, condensed serif and then lets the heat get to it. Every stem has a rippled edge, as if you were looking at the letters through hot air rising off a dune. The bones stay classic: small bracketed serifs, a two storey a, narrow proportions. That is why the words stay readable while the outlines wobble.
The effect scales with size. In the 820 pt Mm close-up the waves turn into deep, flame-like ripples, while at 44 on the size ladder they settle into a faint tremor along the stems. Use it big. Caravan and festival posters, record sleeves, book covers for desert or road stories, menu headers for a café with a sunset palette. On the Oasis Route card it fills half a travel poster in cream on deep teal.
