Notched condensed capitals for posters, signage and merch headlines
Trillforge is a condensed display face cut from one tall skeleton. Its capitals are narrow and heavy, and a notch cuts into E, F, G, S and the figures 5 and 9, which gives a headline the feel of a stamped sign. The name and mood come from the dawn chorus and winged silhouettes, though the letters themselves are blunt and hard-edged.
Use it where the type is the picture. Event posters, cover titles, merch and shop signage all suit a line of capitals that sets tight and even, with one cap height and one narrow width across the set. Lowercase is shorter, with an x-height of about half the cap height, so it works for tags and short words better than for running copy.
The font has 94 glyphs: Latin capitals, lowercase, figures and punctuation, in one normal weight. It covers English only. Files come as OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2, so it installs in desktop design apps and loads on the web.
Desktop, Web, ePub and App licences are sold separately on this page. Pick the one that matches where the font will go.
