A broad-nib calligraphic face with manuscript flavour for book covers, chapter titles, drop caps and posters.
Rotor Grid is a broad-nib calligraphic face. Every stroke follows the angle of a flat pen, so thick and thin swap places as each letter turns, and the stroke ends finish sharp. It looks like a page from an old manuscript. The cards lean into that with ruled lines, red marks, a blue initial and a paper volvelle wheel that spells out the name letter by letter.
The capitals are round and open, with a pointed spur on G and a curved, pen-drawn leg on R. In the lowercase the g swings its tail wide under the line. It reads well big. It still holds at 44 px in a pangram on the cards, which gives you room for book covers, chapter titles, drop caps, posters and labels that need a historical or fantasy tone, plus short passages of text set large.
The set has 94 glyphs in one weight: A to Z, a to z, figures 0 to 9 and basic punctuation with period, comma, colon, semicolon, exclamation and question marks, plus guillemets. It covers basic Latin for English. Formats are OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2.
