ASCII art generator

Two generators in one. Text mode turns words into chunky block banners for READMEs, Discord and terminal splash screens. Image mode redraws any picture in text characters — pick the width and charset, then copy or download the result as .txt.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I use ASCII art?

Anywhere monospaced text lives: GitHub READMEs, code comments, Discord code blocks, terminal banners, forum signatures.

Why does my ASCII art look skewed when pasted?

It must be viewed in a monospaced font. In Discord wrap it in a code block (```) — that forces monospace.

Can I make ASCII art from a photo?

Yes — switch to Image mode, upload the photo, and tune width and charset. High-contrast images read best.
