A thin monoline sans with sharp corners and no curves, for sci-fi posters, map titles, logos and labels.
Empire Atlas is drawn with one thin, even stroke that refuses to curve. Where another sans would round off an O, a C or an S, this one breaks the line into straight segments and sharp corners, so the bowls turn into octagons and the 8 reads as two stacked eight-sided rings. Cold and exact. It looks like lettering ruled onto an old survey map or painted on a hull in a space film.
Give it room. The sample cards put it on a sci-fi film poster, a map sheet heading, octagonal stickers and a white paper cup. Below 28 px the hairline strokes start to fade, so use it for headlines, titles, labels, logos and short signage, and set the long reading text in a warm serif next to it.
The font covers English with 94 glyphs: A to Z in capitals and lowercase, figures 0 to 9, and the punctuation that headings and dates need, including brackets, guillemets and curly quotes. There is a single Regular weight. Files come as OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2, for print and screen.
Desktop, Web, ePub and App licences are sold separately on this page, each for one payment that never expires.
