A hairline display serif for fashion labels, book covers, monograms and quiet editorial headlines.
Molar Forge is a high-contrast display serif with hairline serifs and thick, upright stems. It reads calm. The cards set it for a linen atelier, a candle label and a novel cover, and that is roughly where it belongs: slow fashion, fine paper and small studios that want their name to look printed rather than typed.
Look at the Q. Its tail sweeps far under the next letter, and the two-storey g ends in a small flag at the ear. The 1 is tall and narrow with a flagged top. Thin strokes need room, so set it at headline size on covers, monograms, packaging labels and posters. On screen the hairlines hold down to about 24 px, and below that you go one size up or hand the text to a plain sans.
The font has 94 glyphs in one Regular style. That means A to Z and a to z without accents, figures 0 to 9 and the punctuation that finishes a sentence, including guillemets, low double quotes, en and em dashes, an ellipsis and a bullet. No currency signs. No Cyrillic or Greek either, so it covers English and other languages written in basic Latin without diacritics. Files come as OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2.
