Spiked display serif with rope-tied stems for climbing posters, merch and dark maritime branding
Belay Knot is a display serif that looks tied together. Every stem and serif ends in small lashed spikes, like cord pulled tight around a post. The capitals are tall and stiff, the lowercase is slab-like and a little crooked, and the zero comes slashed so it never gets mistaken for an O.
It is built for big words. Set it at headline size on posters, gig flyers, climbing gym signage, hoodie backprints and album covers, where the spikes show and the stormy, steel-and-sailcloth mood carries. At small sizes the lashings fill in, so pair it with a plain sans for paragraphs, prices and captions.
The font has 94 glyphs in a single Regular weight: uppercase and lowercase Latin, numerals, punctuation and quote marks. It covers English only. You get OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2 files, so the same purchase can go to print, web and app builds once you pick the right license.
Desktop, Web, ePub and App licenses are sold separately on this page. Pick the one that matches where the letters will run.
