A monospaced dot-matrix face for departure boards, event posters, UI headings and LED-style merch.
Quince Orchard spells every letter in dots, the way an old departure board or LED sign does. Each glyph takes the same width, so figures and words line up in clean columns. Look closer at large sizes and the dots turn out slightly uneven, rounded pebbles that pinch into teardrops where two strokes meet and give the grid a hand-made wobble. Not cold at all.
Times, gates and platform numbers suit it best. The cards show a night festival poster with a timed line-up, a tote printed like a departures board, an ON TIME! die-cut sticker and a specimen with running text. The size ladder goes from 150 px down to 16 px and the dots stay apart. Give sentences to a calm grotesk.
There are 94 glyphs: A to Z, a to z, figures 0 to 9 and punctuation with brackets, quotes and guillemets. No currency signs. Prices are set as plain numbers. Latin only, one Regular weight, in OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2.
Desktop, Web, ePub and App licences are bought separately on this page, each with one payment and no expiry date.
