A serif with filigree engraved inside every stroke, for book covers, labels, invitations and vintage headlines.
Quill Reverie looks like a page from an old engraved book. Each stroke is drawn as a thin outline, and the space inside it is filled with small curling marks, leaves and dots, close to the filigree on banknotes and nineteenth century title pages. Under the ornament sits a calm serif with bracketed feet, a round Q with a long swinging tail and an open, slightly narrow lowercase.
Size decides how it reads. On the giant Q detail every vine inside the bowl is visible. At 200 and 120 the pattern still shows as engraving, and by 28 the fill blends into grey and the letters behave like a plain bookish serif. Give it room. Book and album covers, wine and spirits labels, wedding invitations, chapter openers and poster titles suit it. It also holds up as pale ink on black.
The font has 129 glyphs for English, with A to Z, a to z, figures 0 to 9 and punctuation. One Regular weight, in OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2.
