Why use rem instead of px?
rem scales with the user’s root font size — layouts stay accessible when people change their browser’s default text size.
What base size should I use?
16px is the browser default. If your CSS sets html{font-size:62.5%}, use base 10 for easy math.
Does this affect web fonts?
Font files don’t care about units, but sizing in rem keeps your generated YoFont families scaling correctly.
