Both generate real, installable fonts from a prompt — that already puts them ahead of most “font generators”. The difference is scope: Lipi works within the Latin script, YoFont generates multi-script families. In our hands-on test (July 2026), Lipi’s main generator produced English-only character sets, and its advertised glyph editor did not let us actually edit glyphs; Lipi’s own “81 languages” page describes a Latin-script glyph set (~260 glyphs, extended tier). YoFont generates up to 19 languages across 9 writing systems in one family, three weights from one prompt, with per-glyph AI regeneration and manual editing, plus CDN embedding and a public API/MCP.

No. Lipi’s own multilingual page describes its coverage as “Full Latin Script” — 81 Latin-written languages via diacritics (~260 glyphs, extended tier). In our July 2026 test the main generator produced English-only sets. YoFont generates Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew, Greek, Devanagari, Chinese, Japanese and Korean in one family.
YoFont: yes — regenerate any glyph by prompt or adjust manually, on all scripts. Lipi advertises a bezier Font Studio; in our hands-on test (July 2026) glyph editing did not function.
Both export WOFF2, but only YoFont hosts your font on a CDN with ready @font-face snippets, so you can embed without self-hosting.
