Thorned capitals and lowercase for black metal band names, gig posters, record sleeves and dark merch.
Stallhoof is a black metal display face with thorns growing out of every stroke. Stems carry barbed spurs, hairline spikes cross the main lines, and round letters sprout horn-like points at the top and bottom, so each O comes to a sharp point at the top and bottom. Edges are chipped.
Set it big. The size ladder card runs "Night falls" from 240 px down to 64 px, and that is about as small as it goes before the thorns start to clog. Gig posters, band logos, album covers and screen-printed tees are where it pays off, along with bottle labels and tins for a merch shelf. For ticket details and body copy, pair it with a quiet grotesk.
The set has 94 glyphs: A to Z, a to z, figures 0 to 9 and basic punctuation with brackets and guillemets. Lowercase has its own drawn shapes, which helps when a band name needs mixed case. Latin only, one Regular weight, in OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2.
Desktop, Web, ePub and App licences are bought separately on this page, each with one payment and no expiry date.
